Mexico Airport Terminal 2

It is the newest terminal building at México City Airport, it opened in 2007.


Terminal 2 is home of all Aeromexico flights out coming of the airport, being its main distribution center.



Transfer between terminals

Both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are separated each other 3 km, that is why they are connected by the Airtrain. It consists into a monorail system that only allows passengers with hand baggage and it can be used by handling the boarding pass.


The access to the platforms are located:

- T1: located in Puente Pilotos bridge.

- T2: near Gate M.


Opening hours: Daily, from 05:00 am to 11:00 pm with 5 minutes’ frequency. Transferring from one terminal to each other will take you just 7 minutes.


On the other hand, shuttle buses between terminals are also available. They are located at entrance 6 (Terminal 1) and entrance 4 (Terminal 2).


Opening hours: Daily, from 05:00 am to 01:00 am. Stops are located at Gate 6 (Terminal 1) and Gate 4 (Terminal 2). You can purchase your ticket on board to the driver.

Additionally, both terminals are connected through runways.




Mexico Airport Terminal 2 building consists of three levels: PB, PA and MZ (Planta Baja, Planta Alta and Mezzanine). See the information below:


  • Ground level: This is the Arrivals level. Find in this level also the baggage reclaims, both international and domestic (Central and South America), and the ground transportation options.

From this level you can get to the North Concourse, to the South Concourse through Gate Q, Domestic Arrivals Gate Q, and International Arrivals Gates N and P.


  • Upper level: This is the Departures and ticketing level. It is easy to get here by the parking entrances 5, 6 and 7. Also, a fast food area is available, including ticketing desks L1, L2 and L3, including security checkpoints in order to access to:


    • Hall K (including security checkpoint): From gate 52 to gate 62, to the North Concourse, including international gate areas L1 and L3.
    • Hall M (National): Gate from 62 to 74 + gate 75 (remote position) to the South Concourse and domestic Gate area L2 and L3.


  • Mezzanine: The mezzanine level is home of the VIP Lounges.


Available services: In Terminal 2 there are 6 information points: 1st Level Departures, International Arrivals (Ground Floor), Domestic Arrivals (Ground Floor), Arrivals (Ground Floor, at Central Information Point) and at the Final Waiting Area of the Domestic Departures and Internationals Departures.

Airport lounges

Mexico Airport Terminal 2 is equipped with the following lounges:

HSBC Lounge: Location: Mezzanine level. Opening hours: Monday to Sunday, from 05:30 am to 09:00 pm.

American Express Lounge: Location: Mezzanine level. Opening hours: Monday to Sunday, from 05:00 am to 00:00 am.
