Mexico Airport Terminal 1

Terminal 1 is currently the largest airport terminal in the Americas and the fourth largest terminal worldwide.

 

The terminal serves both national and international flights.

 

 

Transfer between terminals

Both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are separated each other 3 km, that is why they are connected by the Airtrain. It consists into a monorail system that only allows passengers with hand baggage and it can be used by handling the boarding pass.

 

The access to the platforms are located:

- T1: located in Puente Pilotos bridge.

- T2: near Gate M.

 

Opening hours: Daily, from 05:00 am to 11:00 pm with 5 minutes’ frequency. Transferring from one terminal to each other will take you just 7 minutes.

 

On the other hand, shuttle buses between terminals are also available. They are located at entrance 6 (Terminal 1) and entrance 4 (Terminal 2).

 

Opening hours: Daily, from 05:00 am to 01:00 am. Stops are located at Gate 6 (Terminal 1) and Gate 4 (Terminal 2). You can purchase your ticket on board to the driver.


Additionally, both terminals are connected through runways.

 

 

Levels

Mexico Airport Terminal 1 building consists of two levels: PB and PA (Planta Baja and Planta Alta).

See below further information about the levels of Terminal 1:

 

  • Ground level: This is the Arrivals level, including baggage claim, ground transportation and parking.

From this level you can connect to A Gates, B Gates, Hall C, airline desks for Gates D and D1, Gate 1 area and baggage claims, International Arrivals, Gates E2 and E3 and baggage claims.

  • Upper level: Find in this level the Departures. It is divided into three sections:
  • Section 1: International Departures. This section it is connected to Halls F1, F2 and F3, including gates 24, 25-28, and also access to gates 29-36.
  • Section 2: International Departures from Halls F1, F2 and F3, including gates 17 to 23.
  • Section 3: Domestic Departures from Hall B, including gates 1 to 15.

 

Available services: In Terminal 1 there are 6 information points: Gate A1, domestic arrivals; Gate E1 (international arrivals from South and Central America and in the middle of pre-waiting are of gate 8); and final waiting areas: 19, 26 and 29.

 

Terminal 1 is connected to the hotel Camino Real (with 600 rooms), Courtyard by Marriott (more than 280 rooms), Fiesta Inn by Fiesta Americana (more than 320 rooms) and Hilton (more than 100 rooms).

Centurion Club Lounge: Location: Upper level. Opening hours: Monday to Sunday, from 05:00 am to 11:00 pm.

Televisa Lounge: Location: Upper level. Opening hours: Monday to Friday, from 09:00 am to 07:00 pm.

American Express: Location: Lower level. Opening hours: Monday to Friday, from 09:00 am to 08:00 pm.

Mastercard Lounge: Location: Lower level. Opening hours: Monday to Sunday, from 05:00 am to 11:00 pm.

Lufthansa Lounge: Location: Upper level. Opening hours: Monday to Sunday, from 09:30 am to 08:30 pm, also from 03:00 pm to 07:40 pm.

Grand Lounge: Location: Upper level. Opening hours: 24 hours.

GIS Lounge: Location: Upper level. Opening hours: Every day, from 08:00 am to 09:30 pm.
